About ASICentrum
ASICentrum designs integrated circuits with very low power and low voltage, including Bluetooth LE, RFID/NFC, energy harvesting and sensor interface chips, and develops related embedded software and mobile applications. Its products listed on the site include the EM9304 BLE chip, the EM4423 dual-interface NFC/UHF RFID chip, Bluetooth SMART beacons and the EM8900 energy harvesting converter.
The company works mainly as the design centre of its parent company EM Microelectronic, a Swiss semiconductor manufacturer that is part of the Swatch Group, and as a development centre for the Swatch Group divisions Swatch Group Services and ETA. Its customers are therefore largely within this group, and the site does not describe any other commercial customers or revenue model.
The company was founded in 1992 in Prague, and its registered seat is in Praha. It has design teams in Prague and Brno, according to the site. The careers pages list openings in Prague or Brno for Analog IC Designer, DFT Engineer, Digital IC Designer, Digital IC Verification Engineer and Embedded Software Engineer roles, and student internships and theses are offered. The site states ISO 9001:2015 and ISO/TS 16946:2016 certifications.
Product: Ultra-low-power integrated circuit design services and chips (BLE, RFID/NFC, sensor hubs, energy harvesting) plus embedded software development.
