Ares

Ares GmbH, which trades as Spiegel21, makes custom mirrors, mirror cabinets, bathroom vanities, shower enclosures and glass solutions. Customers set dimensions and features in an online configurator, and the company checks each order for feasibility before production.

Customers are private and business buyers, which the company says it serves across Europe. Products are sold through the Spiegel21 online shop, and the company also operates a showroom of over 1,000 m² in Lünen.

The company was founded in 2012 and is based in Lünen near Dortmund, with production in a 25,000 m² site. The website says it employs around 150 people. Current job listings cover customer service, a CNC operator for wood and carpentry, an IT generalist for e-commerce and automation, a content creator and a 3D artist. The company reports a Gründerpreis NRW award (2018) and Financial Times fastest-growing-companies recognition (2022 and 2023).

Product: Made-to-measure mirrors, mirror cabinets, bathroom vanities, shower enclosures and glass panels, configured online and manufactured in Germany.
