About Ampliconyx
Ampliconyx develops, manufactures and delivers fiber lasers, amplifiers and gain modules for the 1 and 2 µm wavelength ranges, based on its patented Tapered Double-Clad Fiber (T-DCF) technology. The range includes CW and pulsed fiber lasers, thulium-doped and visible-wavelength lasers, gain modules and custom laser systems.
Customers include semiconductor manufacturers, medical technology companies, LiDAR and sensing developers, aerospace and defense users, scientific research groups and industrial laser developers. Products are sold as ready-to-use gain modules and lasers or as customized systems, with application engineering from consultation to series production.
Ampliconyx was founded in 2016 as a spin-off from the Optoelectronics Research Centre at Tampere University of Technology by Dr. Valery Filippov and Prof. Yuriy Chamorovskiy, and is based in Tampere, Finland. In 2022 CeramOptec SIA acquired the company and integrated it into Biolitec Holding; CeramOptec supplies fiber drawing and preform manufacturing for the joint production chain. The company lists a laser application lab engineer role in Tampere.
