About AMADEA GROUP

AMADEA makes wooden products in workshops in the Podkrkonoší region of the Czech Republic. The range includes Christmas decorations, nativity sets (betlémy), planters and window boxes, kitchen, garden and gift items, jewellery and souvenirs. The website lists about 70,000 active products.

Customers are consumers buying gifts and home decor, as well as business buyers; the website has a section for companies. Products are sold through the online shop, which offers prices in CZK and EUR, and through its own shops in Prague and Český Krumlov. The website states that nativity sets are shipped to Germany, Austria, Italy, Slovakia and other countries. Part of the production is done in a sheltered workshop that employs people with health disadvantages.

The website dates the business to 2002, when two founders, Martin Portych and Láďa Šádek, started in a cellar with one laser. The main workshop is in Lázně Bělohrad, with further workshops in Ostroměř and Bílá Třemešná. The careers page lists open positions without further details.

Product: Hand-finished wooden decorations, nativity sets, planters and window boxes, kitchen, garden and gift items sold through an online shop and own stores.
