About Alan Electrical
Alan Electrical Limited designs and manufactures low-voltage switchgear, including LV and MV switchboards, package sub stations, power distribution units, rising main busbar systems, motor control panels and control and monitoring systems such as BMS, PLC, SCADA and EMS. Its switchgear is type tested to IEC 61439-2, and the company holds ASTA certification for that standard. Design, manufacture, installation, commissioning and maintenance are handled in-house, with call-out contracts for emergencies.
Customers are clients who place electrical switchgear and package substation projects with the company; it prices and submits tenders for MV and LV switchgear packages. Services include installation and commissioning of its products and a full maintenance back-up service.
Established in 1971, the company is headquartered in Watford, Hertfordshire. Its production is based at the Caxton Centre in St. Albans, with five separate premises including CNC copper processing, sheet metal enclosure fabrication, high-bay storage and a warehouse for switchgear awaiting delivery. Current openings include electrical project engineer and draughting engineer roles.
Product: LV and MV switchboards, package sub stations, power distribution units, motor control panels and control/monitoring systems, with installation, commissioning and maintenance.
