About Alan Boswell Group

Alan Boswell Group is an independent insurance broker and financial planning group. It arranges commercial insurance, such as property, commercial motor and business cover, and personal insurance, including motor, landlord, boat, home and travel cover. It also offers financial planning, wealth management, risk management, employee benefits advice and added-value services such as underwriting, claims handling and loss assessment.

Its clients include businesses, farmers, landlords, care providers, arts organisations and private individuals. Employers use its employee benefits advice, and individuals use its personal financial planning services.

The group was founded in 1989, and its website states that it has roots in Norfolk dating to 1982. It has seven offices in Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire and Lincolnshire, including offices in Norwich, Cambridge and Boston, and employs over 450 staff. In the year to 31 March 2025 it acquired Priory Insurance Services and The Insurance Centre, and in April 2025 it added Andrew Thompson and Associates.
