About Aeteos
Aeteos develops Percipion, a symbolic cognitive platform that reads sensitive text such as messages, reports and seized files and produces explainable assessments. It represents words, concepts and context in knowledge schemas rather than statistical models, and runs on-premise or fully offline. The platform is designed to support human analysts, not replace them.
Its customers are law enforcement, defence, forensic laboratories and critical organisations that cannot send data to third-party models. Percipion is licensed on-premise on a flat monthly rate by edition (Sentinel, Server and Enterprise), with no per-user or per-document fee, and includes updates and standard support.
Aeteos states that it was founded in 2016 by cognitive psychologists Mark and Béatrice Pohlmann and describes itself as family-owned and independent; the French legal entity was registered in 2022. The company is headquartered in Trois-Rivières, France. It was selected by PwC for the Scale Defence & Resilience Tech programme presented at the Munich Security Conference in February 2026.
