AEE INTEC

AEE INTEC conducts applied research and development in renewable energy and resource efficiency. Its projects span buildings, cities and networks, industrial systems, renewable energy, thermal storage, and water and process technologies, from research through demonstration projects.

Project sponsors include regional governments, federal ministries, the European Commission, international organizations such as UNIDO, and industrial and commercial businesses. The institute was founded in 1988 and employs around 85 people in Gleisdorf; it also works with PhD students, graduates, interns and student assistants.
