About Advanced Electricity Networks

Advanced Electricity Networks (AEN) is an Independent Distribution Network Operator (IDNO) licensed by Ofgem. It owns electricity distribution assets and adopts networks built by connection providers for residential, commercial, industrial, EV charging, data centre and battery storage projects.

Its customers are connection providers and developers who want to transfer ownership of new electricity networks to AEN in exchange for an asset value payment. The company supports them with design, construction and legal permissions to energise new connections.

AEN was founded in 2023 as part of the Advanced Utility Networks (AUN) Group, which is backed by Fitzwalter Capital Limited. It is based in Braintree, UK, and its website lists a nationwide portfolio of networks.

Product: Adoption of electricity distribution networks and asset value quotes for new grid connections
