About Acurable
Acurable Limited develops wearable medical devices under the AcuPebble brand. The sensor records internal body sounds without invasive methods and transfers them wirelessly to a mobile device, where signal processing algorithms extract biomarkers for the diagnosis and management of conditions such as sleep apnoea, epilepsy, COPD and asthma.
The AcuPebble SA100 is presented as the first medical device to obtain the CE mark for automated diagnosis of obstructive sleep apnoea, intended for patients to use at home. The AcuPebble RE100 provides continuous monitoring of breathing and cardiac biosignals for research. The company is venture-backed, with Kindred Capital and Alma Mundi Ventures named as investors.
The company was founded in 2016 and is headquartered in London, with an additional office in Seville. Its technology stems from more than a decade of research at Imperial College London led by founder Prof. Esther Rodriguez-Villegas. The company's products have received an XPrize award and an IET Innovation Award.
