About Ably Medical
Ably Medical develops LYNG, a sensor mat placed under the mattress that registers presence, in-bed movement and bed exit events without contact with the resident. It also shows indicative resting heart rate and respiration rate trends, which are not intended for diagnosis or clinical decision-making.
The system consists of the sensor mat, a connectivity hub with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 4G and 5G support, and a dashboard for caretakers with configurable notifications. It can display data from selected third-party wearables and devices, and supports FHIR and HL7 standards for health journal integration. The product is aimed at nursing homes and home care services.
Ably Medical was founded in 2015 and is headquartered in Oslo, Norway. LYNG received Class I CE certification in March 2026, and the company plans Class IIa certification in 2027. The company reports partnerships with hospitals in Norway, Germany and Canada.
