About Aampere
Aampere GmbH runs a digital platform for buying and selling used electric vehicles. A seller enters the vehicle's details, receives a valuation, and gets a purchase offer based on the highest dealer bid in a continuous auction. Aampere GmbH is the contracting party and pays the seller directly, and the dealer covers collection and transport.
The sellers are private owners of used EVs. The buyers are vetted dealers from across Europe, who place bids on the vehicles. The company's stated platform figures include more than 200 vetted dealers, more than 2,000 EVs sold and sales in more than 10 countries.
Aampere was founded in 2022 and is headquartered in Munich. It completed a €4.2M late-seed round in Q2 2026 and has stated total funding of 6.1M. The company says it is expanding beyond Germany. Its 18 open roles are mainly in Munich, across sales, engineering, marketing, strategy and people functions, with remote business development roles in the Netherlands, Belgium and Finland.
Product: Digital used-EV sale: VIN-based valuation, dealer auction, purchase offer, contract and pickup, with Aampere GmbH as contracting party.
