About 3WAYSTE
3WAYSTE designs and operates industrial sorting plants for household waste, based on its patented technology. The process separates yellow-bin and grey-bin waste into recyclable materials, organic matter, alternative fuel and a residual fraction of about 10%. The organic output is a compost with 99.5% purity that meets the NFU 44 051 standard.
Its customers include cement plants, which use the alternative-fuel fraction to replace fossil fuels. The company positions its plants as a way for local authorities and taxpayers to reduce waste disposal costs.
3WAYSTE was founded in 2016 and is headquartered in Polignac, France. It develops multi-stream industrial sorting centres in France and abroad. The company reports 10 years of R&D and was selected by Bpifrance and France Industrie in the first cohort of French startups decarbonising and re-industrialising.
Product: Industrial multi-stream sorting plants for household waste, with patented sorting technology, producing recyclables, compost and alternative fuel.
