About 2K Czech
2K Czech is a video game development studio with offices in Brno and Prague, Czech Republic. Its history dates to 1997, when it was founded in Brno as Illusion Softworks; it was acquired by Take-Two Interactive in 2008 and rebranded as 2K Czech. The studio is known for the Mafia series, Hidden & Dangerous, and Top Spin tennis games, and per its website it also provides motion capture and infrastructure support services to projects.
The studio develops games for 2K, the publishing label of Take-Two Interactive, and its website also references Hangar 13, a related studio with a Brighton (UK) office. Revenue comes from game development and publishing through the parent group; the input does not describe other revenue streams.
The Brno office is located at Areal Slatina and includes a motion capture studio and a 3D character scanner; the Prague office moved to OC Flora in 2024. Open roles listed on the careers page include rendering, gameplay and animation engineering, and an office coordinator role, with positions in Prague and Brno.
