About ubitricity – Gesellschaft für verteilte Energiesysteme
ubitricity installs and operates public EV charge points, including lamppost and bollard units, AC fast chargers (7-22 kW) and DC rapid chargers (50 kW+). Drivers pay per kWh on pay-as-you-go tariffs, with no connection or subscription fees, and can also charge through the Shell app.
Local authorities are the main customers; ubitricity offers consulting, planning, implementation and maintenance for their charging infrastructure and says it helps them access UK government charging funding. The company is a wholly owned subsidiary of Shell and belongs to its Mobility Division.
Founded in 2008, ubitricity is headquartered in Berlin on the EUREF campus, with offices in London, Amsterdam and Paris. It reports more than 90 colleagues from 23 nations and more than 20,000 public charge points in Europe, including over 14,200 in the UK. Its careers page invites applications; the three listed openings are unsolicited applications, two of them in Berlin.
Product: Lamppost, bollard, AC fast (7-22 kW) and DC rapid (50 kW+) public EV charge points, plus consulting, planning, implementation and maintenance for local authorities.
