The Ride Platform

The Ride Platform is a mobility company with four brands: Outdoorsy, an RV travel and accommodations marketplace; Ride, a car rental marketplace for high-volume fleet operators; Roamly, a specialty insurance provider for mobility marketplaces; and Wheelbase, a SaaS system for auto and RV fleets covering pricing, utilization and embedded insurance.

Customers include RV owners and travelers, car rental fleet operators, carsharing and connected-fleet businesses, and independent operators turning vehicles into businesses. The website states that the company has processed over $3B in transactions across its marketplaces; its revenue model is not described in detail.

Outdoorsy was founded in 2015 and incubated at NFX; the site also reports a $120M funding round and a Lloyd's of London coverholder appointment for Roamly. The company lists offices or hubs in Austin, San Francisco and London, with a London hub announced in July 2026. Current openings include product, AI engineering, actuarial, sales and marketing roles, plus guest experience and grounds roles at Outdoorsy destinations in Texas and Colorado.
