About Oxford Quantum Circuits

OQC builds superconducting quantum computers it calls Application Optimised Compute and provides access to them through the cloud, colocated data centres or APIs. Its hardware uses the Coaxmon qubit architecture and the dual-rail Dimon qubit design, and the company names Sophia, Lucy and Toshiko as its three generations of delivered systems.

OQC describes its customers as enterprises and governments in finance, national security, pharmaceuticals and advanced materials, and calls itself Europe's first Quantum-Compute-as-a-Service provider. The website describes system deployments and cloud or API access, but does not disclose pricing or revenue model details.

Founded in 2017 by CSO Dr Peter Leek, the company is led by CEO Gerald Mullally. Its systems are deployed in London, Tokyo, New York and Spain, and the homepage cites a $350m Series C round. The careers page lists 34 open roles across engineering, research, commercial and operations, located in Reading, London, Barcelona, Singapore and New York.

Product: Superconducting quantum computers (OQC Toshiko, OQC GENESIS) with cloud, data-centre colocation and API access to quantum compute.
