About Nuada
Nuada develops carbon capture technology that combines metal-organic framework (MOF) solid adsorbents with vacuum swing adsorption to pull CO2 out of industrial flue gas without heat or solvents. The system is described as a plug-and-play unit powered only by electricity and retrofittable to existing plants. The company also offers a mobile pilot plant and a demonstration campaign so prospective customers can test performance on their own emissions.
The company targets industrial emitters in hard-to-abate sectors. Its website reports validation in multiple industrial settings including cement, biomass incineration and energy from waste, and a 2026 project with MLC to demonstrate its system at a lime plant in North Lincolnshire, UK. The website does not describe pricing or revenue model beyond the commercial deployment of its systems.
Nuada states it has a team of around 50 and an 18,000 sq ft manufacturing and development facility. Its investors include Barclays, BGF and Clean Growth Fund. Its leadership includes two Co-CEOs and a Chairperson appointed in March 2026. Open roles listed on the website are in Belfast, Northern Ireland, for a Senior Process Engineer and a Mechanical Engineer.
Product: Modular, electrically powered CO2 capture system using MOF sorbents and vacuum swing adsorption, retrofittable to existing industrial plants, with a mobile pilot plant for in-field testing.
