Knowunity

Knowunity develops a study app for iOS and Android that combines an AI companion and tutor with study plans, mock exams, quizzes and flashcards. Subjects listed on the website include mathematics, biology, chemistry, physics, English, German, history and computer science.

The app is aimed at students. The company's careers page says it is built by students for students, and describes the app as one that teenagers download while their parents pay for it, which points to a consumer subscription model. The homepage cites 1.6M+ study notes and a 4.7 rating across 300K+ reviews.

The company states that it has 30M+ students, operates in 32 countries (the careers page says 30) and has raised over $50M from investors including Project A, Redalpine and xAnge. Its careers page lists 55 employees. Job listings show six open roles, all based in Berlin, including software engineering, product design, a technical founder in residence and engineering internships.
