Kinemic

Kinemic GmbH develops AI-based hardware and software for manual assembly and gesture control. Its products are Kinemic Node, an attachable that detects tool events on torque wrenches and screwdrivers; Kinemic Snap, which detects plugged and clipped connections; Kinemic Band, a gesture-control wearable; and Kinemic Build, the worker-assistance software that runs them.

Its customers are industrial manufacturers and assembly operations. The company also sells development services in software integration, interaction design, AI systems, movement data and acoustic event detection. The website cites projects for a German stationery producer and a German tool manufacturer.

Kinemic was founded in 2016 as a spin-off from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) and is based in Karlsruhe. The company page states it has nine people and that its servers are located in Germany. Current job openings are for working students and interns in software development, electronics and wearables, and one business development and marketing internship.
