iDM Energiesysteme GmbH develops, produces and sells heat pump systems from 2 to 1,500 kW for heating, hot water and cooling, using ambient energy from air, ground, groundwater and solar sources. Its range includes air-source and ground-source heat pumps, heat pumps with an integrated hot water tank, large MAX heat pumps, hot water storage and the NAVIGATOR control system.

The company sells through heating installers (Heizungsbauer) who are its partners; end customers are directed to their installer. The product range covers single-family houses, multi-family buildings, commercial and industrial sites. Installers receive planning support, and training is offered through the iDM Akademie.

The company was founded in 1977, has focused exclusively on heat pumps since 1997, and is headquartered in Matrei in Osttirol at about 1,000 m above sea level. It has sales and production subsidiaries in Leutershausen (Germany), Barbian (Italy) and Alcobendas (Spain), and supplies customers across Europe. It is a family business, led by Thomas Pletzer and Christoph Bacher, and is part of the Pletzer Gruppe.
