GIST Research

GIST Research is a research, analysis and advisory firm. Its work runs through four phases: discover (research and insight), design (strategy and foresight), deliver (advisory, applied analysis and capacity building) and distil. The firm uses field research, open-source analysis, remote sensing and a GIS that combines satellite imagery, environmental indicators and field data.

Its clients include governments, international organisations and private sector organisations, as well as local community structures. The company describes its services as project design, implementation and monitoring, evaluation and learning, and it says it works through local partners and experts in regions such as Northern and Sub-Saharan Africa, the Levant, Central Asia, South-East Asia, Eastern Europe and the Balkans.

GIST was founded in 2019 by three experts, and its founding partners are Michele Cesari, Matthieu Dillais and Marc Parker. The website does not state an office location.
