FRIES-Gruppe

Johannes Fries GmbH & Co. KG (FRIES) is a wholesaler of building elements, flooring, wood and panel materials. Its core range covers doors, windows, interior doors, flooring (design, textile, linoleum, PVC), parquet and laminate, sheet materials, timber, and accessories.

Its customers are primarily craftsmen (Handwerker), who are supported in sales to end customers, with exhibition showrooms used for consultation. Orders can be placed through the FRIES webshop, and the company states it stocks over 50,000 items and delivers within 24 hours to the next delivery day, using a fleet of more than 80 company trucks.

The family company was founded in 1959 by Johannes Fries and reports more than 600 employees. Its 15 locations in northern and eastern Germany, including Kiel, Berlin, Hamburg, Rostock and Schwerin, are coordinated from headquarters in Kiel.
