Dext

Dext provides a bookkeeping automation platform that captures receipts, invoices, and bank statements via mobile, email, WhatsApp or desktop, extracts data, categorises it, and syncs it to accounting software. It also offers expense management, an AI Assist feature that suggests automations, and supplier payments (marked as coming soon on the pricing page).

Customers are small and medium businesses that automate their own bookkeeping, and accounting and bookkeeping firms that manage multiple clients. Revenue comes from subscriptions: businesses pay per plan with document allowances, and firms pay per client per month, with add-ons for data health and marketplace integrations.

The company was founded in 2010 and has its global head office in the UK, where it reports a hub of over 150 team members. Dext is part of the IRIS Software Group, which it joined in 2024. The website states integrations with 36+ accounting platforms and over 11,500 banks, and lists open roles in Bulgaria and Canada as well as the UK.
