About Damae Medical
Damae Medical develops deepLive™, a medical device based on LC-OCT (Line-field Confocal Optical Coherence Tomography) for 3D imaging of skin, with applications in skin cancer assessment and quantitative skin analysis. The company states that deepLive has CE Mark Class IIA under EU MDR 2017/745 (2023) and FDA 510(k) clearance (March 2025).
The company was established in September 2014 by Anaïs Barut (CEO), David Siret (CTO) and Arnaud Dubois (CSO), who filed the patent on the LC-OCT technology. Its offices in Paris house an R&D lab and a production space, and the website reports installations of deepLive in over 10 countries in Europe, Japan, Australia and the United States (2024). The website reports a €5M Series A in 2022 and a €2M round in 2017.
