Coefficient Giving

Coefficient Giving is a philanthropic funder and advisor, formerly known as Open Philanthropy. It makes grants across cause areas including global health and wellbeing, navigating transformative AI, biosecurity, farm animal welfare, global aid policy and effective giving and careers.

Its founding and largest partnership is with Good Ventures, for which it serves as outsourced foundation staff. It also works with other philanthropists, providing cause-area research, giving opportunities, strategic guidance and operational support.

The website states that it has directed over $7 billion in grants since 2014 and over $1 billion in 2025. Its office is in San Francisco. At the time of the snapshot the careers page listed no open roles and invited expressions of interest.
