Blatenská ryba

Blatenská ryba, spol. s r.o. farms fish on nearly 1,500 hectares of ponds in the Strakonice, Písek and Příbram areas, with annual production of around 800 tonnes of fish. It also raises ducks, with around 700 tonnes reaching the market each year, and runs a modern processing plant that makes fresh and frozen products from freshwater and sea fish.

The company sells chilled, frozen and smoked goods wholesale and distributes to smaller customers across southwest and central Bohemia, including Prague. Its service centre makes fish transport boxes, draining boats, punts, fish loaders and fishing equipment for its own use and for sale, and it offers transport, crane and vehicle repair services.

Founded in 1993 and based in Blatná in the Czech Republic, the company reports that it has received EU support under the OP Fisheries 2014-2020 programme. It is currently hiring a maintenance metalworker and a driver-fisherman.
