Alpiq is a Swiss electricity producer and energy service provider. Its portfolio includes hydro, thermal, nuclear, wind, photovoltaic and battery storage assets, and its Energy Solutions offering covers power purchase agreements, long-term supply contracts, flow deals, physical balancing and structured origination products.

Its customers are industrial and business customers, renewable energy producers, portfolio managers and retailers. The group describes its core business as electricity generation and energy trading in several European countries, and its Sales & Origination team provides energy management services to industrial and business customers.

The group is headquartered in Lausanne, Switzerland, and reports about 1,400 employees. It operates in Switzerland, the Scandinavian and Baltic market, France, Germany, Italy and Spain. The Czech entity, Alpiq Services CZ s.r.o., is registered in Prague and was founded in 2017; open roles on the group careers page include trading, origination, asset management and IT architecture positions in Milan, Olten and Lausanne.
