Ababu

Ababu is a Czech family brand that designs and sews toys for babies and small children and produces fabric panels with pre-printed sewing patterns. The toys are made in the company's own sewing workshop in Podbořany, and the website states that all materials are certified, the toys carry CE marking and the fabrics have OEKO-TEX Standard 100 Class 1 certification.

Products are sold through an e-shop, which lists prices in CZK, EUR, HUF and PLN, and through a shop in Letná, Prague, open on weekdays. The website offers free shipping on orders above 1,200 CZK and delivery via the Wolt app. Customers are parents and caregivers of babies and small children, and sewing hobbyists who use the pattern panels.

The brand was started as a sewing project and was renamed ABABU in 2018, according to the website, which says the company has designed and sewn products since 2017. A Prague shop was opened in early 2020 after a Hithit crowdfunding campaign. The company is currently recruiting a long-term part-time worker for order packing, toy assembly and shop sales at its Letná workplace in Prague 7.
